Today Marmalade occupies the 11th floor Century City Tower. Marmalade's full-time staff and contractors run two studios and offer the New Zealand market a wide range of audio services using both world class digital and classic analog equipment. Combining internationally experienced audio engineer/producers and the best technology, Marmalade Audio provides everything needed for any audio project. For over 30 years Marmalade Audio has been offering a high level of service to the advertising and production and music industries. Marmalade Audio is Wellington's industry leader, and is a major force in audio in New Zealand. Built on a foundation of high professional attitudes, teamwork and a dedication to excellence, the company has thrived in a very competitive market place, locally, nationally and internationally. Rocky Douché started the company in 1973. The first studio wasn't exactly in the best part of town. Located above a rather seedy night-club, with clients having to climb two flights of stairs. With a lot of enthusiasm and a state of the art 4-track tape machine, Marmalade was born. In 1977 Marmalade moved to its present location in Century City Tower at 173 - 175 Victoria St. Taking over 250 sq. meters on the 2nd floor, two studios were installed; NZ's first 24 track music studio and an 8 track commercial production studio.
